Midday Break: Spread Happiness

Midday Break: Spread Happiness

Giving someone flowers unexpectedly holds a lot of meaning. Different cultures have used flower giving as a way to signify everything from love, friendship, loyalty, to compassion, trust, and future wealth.

And, each flower has a meaning of its own. Baby’s breath, for example, symbolizes ‘happiness’. While I’m not as crazy about them when added to a bouquet of fresh flowers, on their own I think they are absolutely stunning.

Spread some happiness today to a friend in need of a boost. Try giving a simple, elegant bouquet of baby’s breath. It is typically a filler-flower, so many florists or food stores will sell it in a small bunch for just a few dollars. Find a delicate ribbon or strong piece of twine and wrap around the stems. Be a bit creative and choose your friend’s favorite color, and this simple gesture will be sure to brighten his/her day.

Hi Jennifer, can I recommend another great “flower” that will brighten someone’s day as well? How about a Lolli-flower from http://www.kindovermatter.com? I found these last month and think they are both adorable, fun, and well…candy!
Handed them out at the hospital a few weeks ago and it definately spread some happiness.
