My Top 3 Picks for Authentic Style at the 62nd Emmy Awards

The 62nd Emmy Awards aired on Sunday night. Funny how times change in our lives, because I didn’t even realize they were going to be on until I happened to flip through the channels mid-program.

I used to live for the red carpet. I’d pour myself some wine, even dress up a bit, have friends over, make hors d’ouvres. I haven’t changed that much, though, because I am still a sucker for a fabulous dress, so I tuned on and took notes.

There were so many Inspiristas to choose from, but I finally decided on 3 looks that I absolutely adored – Keri Russell, Dianna Agron, and Kelly Osbourne.

1) Keri Russel (left) – natural and adorable in a pink vintage Jean Louis Sherrer Haute Couture gown and Jimmy Choo heels. I love this look because it feels effortless, and she looks comfortable in her dressed up skin.

2) Dianna Agron (middle) – angelic and sassy in a pale pink lace Carolina Herrerra finished with Cartier diamonds. I am enamored by the delicate balance between the pale pink and steel undertones finished off with the black belt. She is glowing from the inside-out, and you can tell she is honored. She commented to reporters, “I am a very lucky girl.”

3) Kelly Osborne (right) – black is definitely NOT boring with this couture gown by Tony Ward. The draping, the off-dimensions, the detail, and the way it fit her perfectly are all symbolic of Kelly’s personal transformation. There is beauty in the imperfections of this gown, and her smile really makes it even more spectacular for me.

So, after watching the Emmy’s and filing through pictures online after the kiddies went to sleep, I decided it’s time to get dressed up and go out, or stay in…but one thing is for sure, I may not be totally into fashion as I once was, but I am totally inspired by authentic style.
